The Indian Premier League is known as the IPL. The IPL, or Indian Premier League, features Twenty20 cricket matches in which players from all around the world compete. The BCCI is required to plan and oversee the IPL.
The IPL was started by the BCCI in 2008, and India has hosted it every year since then. The players on one team represent different nationalities, and depending on how well they play, those teams move on to the semifinals and ultimately the championship game.
