The Noble Prize is given for achievements in physics, chemistry, physiology or medicine, literature, economics, and peace that have had the greatest positive impact on humanity. The most famous achievement of Swedish chemist, engineer, and industrialist Alfred Nobel is his invention of dynamite. He died in 1896. He ordered in his will that all of his “remaining realizable assets” should be used to establish five rewards that would later be referred regarded as the “Nobel Prizes.” The first Nobel Prize was given out in 1901.
