What is the history of the Kedarnath Temple?

The temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest Hindu sanctuaries of Shiva, was allegedly first constructed by the Pandavas. By performing atonement at Kedarnath, the Pandavas intended to satisfy Shiva.
